1) We can practice "radical acceptance" which is to make peace even with the harshest and most undesired realities. It's not something you'd choose from the outset, but it does help to deal with an already bad situation.

2) We can take ourselves out of situations that lead to the negative thoughts

3) We can reframe how we interpret various situations. For example, instead of thinking that you don't like your job and that you are frustrated to have to go there every day, you can think about it this way: you are lucky that you get to have a job.

None of these work perfectly, but together, they can make a significant different in helping you find happiness and fulfillment in many different situations.
