Description

This is a simple but highly detailed course, designed to bring you to an intermediate level without any stress or drama.

The course was created to be educational whilst remaining enjoyable and entertaining, combining the academic knowledge I received while studying in Moscow with my practical experience of playing violin for 50 years, performing thousands of concerts around the world and teaching for more than 25 years in the UK, Scotland, Russia, Ireland, Germany, Norway and the US.

In this course, I combine different approaches and techniques, in order for it to be suitable to everyone regardless of your age, ability, needs, experience or emotional state. You will find graphs, charts, texts, pictures, symbols, exercises, audio and video demonstrations, stories and descriptions. We will talk about the history, philosophy and science behind the sound, music and creativity.

As you probably know, there are many different schools, techniques, approaches and philosophies of teaching violin around the world. The problem is that everyone is different. There are students who can learn best while being presented with facts and logical explanations, students who rely on their ability to see and copy, students who need to hear or feel, students who need to understand the physical aspects of muscular movements, those who benefit mostly from the associative learning techniques, or those who rely on their intuition. There are students who can only learn while being supervised, or those who learn better when left alone. There are students who want to learn violin in order to conquer the world, and those who want to develop their creative side and make their lives more meaningful. There are fast learners and there are slow learners, there are students who need results and there are students who simply enjoy the process of learning.

Every experienced teacher who loves their job eventually comes up with a system which combines bespoke methods and techniques for the maximum results and productivity, while keeping students interested and fully involved in the learning process.

And of course you'll learn about my secret motivational weapon based on the ‘Chocolate Power Technique’.

You will find all of this and more in the 'Violin Foundation Ultimate Workshop'.

See you soon and let's have a good time!

PS. Nothing in this world stays static. I'll be adding and updating resources for this course, creating new topics and responding to the requests from my students, so don't be shy, send me your questions, propositions, ideas and comments. Together we learn!
