Tableau is fun! Tableau is one of the best visualization tools which can make charts by simple drag and drop. Spending as less as one hour, you will be able to master basic Tableau concepts and make some simple charts.
Making charts is one of the most important skills in Tableau. In the "Show me" window in Tableau Desktop, there are 24 kinds of charts. In this course, all these charts will be introduced, plus additional 26 charts (such as Pareto, Lollipop, Slope, Dumbbell, Funnel, Donut, Bullseye, Word Cloud, Bar in Bar chart, etc) which are widely used in the project.
In this course, after introducing some important concepts, it introduces how to make 50 basic tableau charts step by step. In the real project, we can use different charts to show the data, but how to choose the best chart based on the data features? In the following chapter, it is discussed how to choose right charts for different business requirement.
Showing aggregated data with a certain chart makes the data displayed in an efficient way. Usually, there are several ways to make a chart, in this course, I only introduce the simplest way. The purpose of this course is to let you spend least time to master most important charts in Tableau, so you can use them in your real projects.
This course is for Tableau beginners. You don't need many Tableau skills to start to learn this course. It is the series one of "Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Tableau Charts Step by Step" series course, which will be put on Udemy in near future.
