Description

The Acupressure Works Video Series is a collection of educational videos that show you how to find and activate major acupressure points using Ball Acupressure techniques known to relieve pain and discomfort. The series consists of an Introduction to Acupressure video explaining  how and why acupressure works. The other 7 courses show how to apply ball acupressure for specific conditions such as low back pain, neck and shoulder tension, hip pain, sciatica, tense muscles or spasms of the the calf and hamstring, sciatic nerve pain, and tendonitis and arthritis symptoms of knee, shoulder or ankle joint.

The videos are based on the ancient practice of acupressure and acupuncture which has been used for centuries as a natural alternative method for healing. This technique involves applying pressure to specific points on the body that correspond with different organs, glands, meridians or muscle groups. By stimulating these points you can improve blood flow and increase oxygenation to those areas you are treating, resulting in pain relief, muscle relaxation, and increased flexibility and mobility.

Each video segment is approximately 5 minutes in length and consists of a Point Prescription of 6 to 8 acupressure points, depending on the area of the body you are self-treating. The Acupressure Point Prescriptions you will learn in this course are based on 30 years of clinical experience of N.C.C.A.O.M. Licensed Acupuncturist Marc Coseo. He has been teaching patients the Acupressure Ball techniques since 1986.

You will be taught in a step by step manner how to find the exact location of the acupressure points, and then how to position yourself so that your bodies weight on or against the acupressure balls provides the necessary amount of pressure to activate the points.

Learning to apply these techniques also benefits medical practitioners, physical therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, massage therapists and yoga instructors. You will learn the acupressure techniques that you can send home with your patients, students or clients as a form of homework to be done between treatment visits. In Marc Coseo’s acupuncture practice he often sees a much speedier recovery time for those patients that do these techniques on their own and in the comfort and convenience of home.

Athletes and people who enjoy physical fitness, will find  these ball techniques very effective as part of the warmup routine prior to working out or competing. In the videos you will be able to see the name of the muscle groups associated with and affected by each of the acupressure points you will be activating.
