Description

The New Engineering Contract (NEC) provides suites of standard forms of procurement processes and main contracts in construction. The first edition of these contracts fell under the umbrella name “NEC” in 1993. Subsequently is evolved into “NEC 2” in 1995, “NEC3” in 2005 and most recently “NEC 4” in 2017. NEC aims to fill some of the gaps found in prior used contracts by emphasising a collaborative approach to project stakeholders.

This course provides with you with a compact review of the NEC Contract. This includes a look into the core clauses, main option clauses, early warning & compensation events, dispute resolution, disallowed cost and the changes made in NEC4. You'll leave with an increased confidence and understanding of the most used infrastructure contract in the world.

Here at Metroun we break down complex commercial topics into short easy-to-understand videos. This course features an array of animated videos breaking down the fundamentals of NEC contracts. Each section includes a mini-test to solidify your knowledge and help you leave this course with both understanding and confidence surrounding NEC contracts.
