Welcome to Balancing The Mind with Laura Goellner, Yoga Therapist!
The mind can develop UnHelpful thought patterns- like looking through a dirty lens- that show the negative side of life. In Psychology these are known as "Cognitive Distortions" and they can feed into patterns of worry, anxiety, and self-doubt.
We all use these patterns at times- so it is helpful to know how to recognize when they come up! AND how to take their power away!
This creates a new layer of AWARENESS in our Yoga and Meditation Practice- that supports your Healing & Self Development.
In this course you will learn:
- 12 Common Cognitive Distortions
- Examples of Each UnHelpful Thought Pattern
- How these patterns can show up in Yoga and Meditation
- How to counterbalance these thoughts and restore clarity

- Vrittis as fluctuations in the mind that obscure the "True Self" and create suffering
- Samskara- or well-worn patterns that show up in the mind as repeated thoughts
