In this course, you will learn about behaviors that occur in the classroom and what to do as an educator.
The 7 Modules of this course are broken down in a way that makes learning this content easy.
These modules include:
The Key Elements of Behavior
Classroom and School Management
Common Causes of Negative Behavior (Disorders)
Analyzing Student Behavior
The Importance of Data
Disruptive Behaviors
Regulation for Negative Behaviors
*The course also includes an 'Introductory' module at the beginning as well as a 'Wrapping it up' module at the end. there are 9 modules in total.
Each of these modules includes lectures, video resources, and print resources/articles (readings) that are valuable and can be kept! (Please- keep them for your use!)
These modules have 'Checkpoint' and 'Quick Question' assignments embedded within them.
Checkpoints are 1-5 question quizzes that check your understanding of the content
Quick Questions are short-writing responses that either check your understanding of content, review content, or ask a thought-provoking question.
Module 5 and Module 9 have 20-question Checkpoints that are meant to check your understanding of content from Sections 1-4 and Sections 5-8. These serve as 'midterm' and 'final' quizzes.
There are 3 'Mini-Project' assignments embedded in Modules 3, 6, and 8. These mini-projects are meant to engage you in the topics that are being discussed and these should take about 45-60 minutes each.
The course is intended to flow. There is a specific order for the content in order to keep you, as the learner, on track and understanding what is going on! If at any point in this course, you feel lost, please e-mail me and I can help you with the content via e-mail or Zoom/Google Meet/Microsoft Teams.
As I am passionate about Education and Pedagogy, I strive to see learners take a deep dive into content in the field. I love to see students come out of a course or experience having learned something new that will help them understand the classroom (and sometimes the whole world) around them!
Thank you for considering enrolling in this course,
Best Wishes,
