This course is to give you a better and deeper understanding of the BGP routing protocol based on the goals that we want to accomplish, such as; iBGP vs eBGP, Confederations, MPLS, LDP, TLDP, EEM, and much more.
An understanding of the underlying concepts and complexities of networking is crucial to any networking professional.
Understanding the complexities and differences of configuring iBGP and eBGP within different types of topologies is crucial to help you not only understand but to troubleshoot your network.
When designing your network, you must take into consideration the scalability and complexity of the network since you could be configuring route reflectors or implementing BGP confederations.
When configuring BGP Labs, a minimum of 3 routers is what you should use. Depending on what goal you are trying to accomplish in BGP, it could be as many as 11 routers, especially if you are configuring Layer 2/Layer 3, MPLS, Route reflectors or confederations.
BGP is a very complex and enormous routing protocol, and understanding all the different configurations will take time. Make sure that you lab everything you want to completely understand.
You need to organize your lab in an orderly fashion, from connecting devices to IP schemes and routing.
I know this course will give you a better understanding of the BGP routing protocol and will move you a bit closer to your networking goals.
