The chrysanthemum is one of the four gentlemen (plum, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum) in the flower.

The masters said: painting plums and orchids require long-term focused practice, and short-term is not easy to achieve. But the chrysanthemum is much easier with a simple shape, with few changes, and the brushwork is more comprehensive.
