Welcome to this Complex Number Course, written based on the Singapore H2 A Level Math syllabus. Hello, I'm Emily Wong, your instructor for this course, and I have taught thousands of students online and offline. In this course, we'll go through the concepts of complex numbers, as tested in the H2 A Level Math syllabus.
There are a few ways to represent complex numbers - cartesian form and polar form (trigonometric and exponential form), and we are going to go through both forms.
In this lesson, we'll look at:
- the imaginary number i
- complex numbers in cartesian form
- addition and subtraction of complex numbers in cartesian form
- multiplication and division of complex numbers in cartesian form
- representation of complex numbers on the argand diagram
- finding the modulus and argument of a complex number
- representing complex numbers in polar form (both trigonometric and exponential form)
- multiplication and division of complex numbers in polar form
- representation of complex numbers in polar form on the argand diagram
- solving equations involving complex numbers
This is the introductory course that I conduct in my face-to-face tuition lessons. In this course, we go through the concepts tested in A Level, as well as how to apply these concepts to questions. The complete course usually takes multiple 2- hour lessons. But now, you can build up your complex number foundation anytime, anywhere, at your own pace, and watch it any number of times you like.
What are you waiting for? I'll see you inside the course!
