This course is designed to give an introduction on conducting an interview. It is intended to help researchers prepare and conduct an interview. It then explores techniques to transcribe the interview and analyse its content.

Understand how to create an Interview Protocol

This course is intended for business professionals who are considering enrolling in a doctoral degree as well as anyone who may be interested in how to conduct interviews for their research through the creation of an Interview Protocol.

Content and Overview

This introductory level course consists of videos and presentations totalling approximately 70 minutes.

This course does not require any prior knowledge of the requirements for a doctoral degree.

This course provides an introduction to methods of data collection.

On completion of this course, you will understand how best to prepare for and conduct your interviews, which form part of your data set of your research.

It also provides helpful hints and advice for prospective and current doctoral students to help maximise their time by giving insights from DBA graduates. The DBA Network, created by DBA researchers for DBA researchers, wants to help you understand how best to learn from each other on the long and sometimes lonely journey to complete the degree.

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to prepare and conduct an interview.
