Description

In the next four weeks, I will guide you through some new techniques. You will upgrade the ones you learned in the Pranayama Basics course. It is crucial to complete the Basics course because this one builds on all those skills and techniques.

One lesson each week (or more!) will give you skills and space to practice with awareness and caution. In one or two months, you will be more competent with controlling the Prana, and more connected and centered with your breath. This will give you mental clarity and stability to deal with any daily challenges.

It is not only the "breathing techniques" or Pranayamas. You will learn new hand gestures and locks, the added value that makes the Prana more efficient when circulating in your body. You will also learn how to combine your breathing with your yoga asana practice.

This course is not an extensive Pranayama manual or  directory. I chose a limited range of skills to help you feel comfortable with your own pace, and not overwhelmed with the immense amount of information and detail that comes with this crucial yogic practice. There are quizzes to help you revise the knowledge, and the downloadable notebook to help you remember and reflect on your experience.

All the information in the course is taken from the book Asana Pranayama Mudra Bandha by Swami Satyananda Saraswati, published by Bihar School of Yoga and Yoga Publications Trust (last edition 2013).

Who Should Attend!

  • Yoga practitioners who want to become more serious in their practice
  • Yogis who are thinking of doing a yoga teacher training course
