This course will give you an understanding of the importance of relationships to learning and how to achieve a positive, respectful and trusting relationship.
The training we provide is easy to understand, with actionable tasks that will enable you to build a code of conduct, how to be friendly and fun as a tutor. You will also engage with fellow learners and learn from them through our engaging tasks that bring you all together.

The characteristics of an effective tutoring relationship
How to utilise positivity as a strategy in your tutoring & how to get the balance right
How to be friendly (rather than being 'Friends')
How to use the Peak-End rule when planning
Plan your own fun five-minute activity (and have the opportunity to view other tutor's for inspiration)
Understand what respect is and why it is reciprocal
How to make sure we are making our sessions a reciprocal and respectful space for our students
How to build a level of trust with your students and clients
How can we ensure we remain trusted and trustworthy as tutors
How to create a code of conduct
