This course is for those interested in Pre IPO Unicorn investing, whether you are an investor, seller, professional, educator, or student. Many companies are delaying public IPOs but are very close, these are known as "Pre IPO" - the official term is Private Equity. When a company reaches $1 Billion in valuation it's called a "Unicorn" although it's not so rare as it was when the term was coined, there are more than 700 Unicorns depending on how you count. Although there has been a surge in demand for this market, there is few or little places to learn about the market itself, which is what we provide in this course. The course is free to accredited investors of LevelX Private Markets.

Students will learn the basics of Pre IPO investing, including key concepts such as price discovery, settlement, regulation, risk, and history. Pre IPO is a sub asset class of Private Equity, and contracts are OTC derivatives. Similar to Foreign Exchange markets, Pre IPO is unregulated but the greater majority of participants are large regulated institutions. This course is designed for the expert Wall St. registered rep as well as the novice accredited investor. Disruption continues to come from this sector, even though large public companies have substantially more resources - so Pre IPO remains a disruptive asset class.
