You love the aroma of coffee. You get excited by the different shades of coffee browns from the palest crème to the darkest espresso? And of course you love to paint!
This course is for you to learn how to paint with coffee.
Coffee being water soluble it makes an excellent painting medium especially as a substitute for watercolors. It is easily available in the house and even when you are on a holiday. It is fun to paint with its warm brown tones and it is possible to make paintings on any subject. It is simpler than any medium you have tried, with exceptional results.

Who is this course for?
Two words: For everyone!
Whether you are a child or an adult you’ll enjoy learning this medium.
If you are picking up a brush for the first time or you have been painting for long, you’ll find a lot of interesting techniques in the lessons.
If using watercolors intimidates you, this is the perfect starting point.
If you like watercolors then this is a good way to explore another medium.
If color theory makes your head spin and picking up the right colours makes you stop painting, coffee painting is the way to go. After all you only have to choose from many shades of brown.
You want to start a new hobby, add more variety to your journal pages, and make special art products and paintings then coffee painting will open up so many creative possibilities.
You want to paint but do not want to buy expensive material or be flooded with too much information.
Who am I and why learn from me?
Hello! Aarti here and I am a visual artist who draws, paints, photographs and does graphic design. I am an art educator and a curator. I run an art community, focused on sharing and learning about all things art. I curate art shows and have a stationery brand making sketchbooks.
My art revolves around watercolors, inks and oil paints. I experiment with new mediums and surfaces all the time. I love the aroma of coffee and the way it colours paper so it was natural that I started to paint with coffee. Working in the medium I understand its quirks and have worked out the kinks. No guess work for you as you paint with this new medium.
I love to share my knowledge and experience as I believe that it is what helps my art practice grow. I conduct workshops and have made my teaching style more conversational. I like to teach at a pace that is easy to follow and allows for self-improvement while guiding the students to results they are proud of.
Questions are always welcome and satisfactorily answered.
I enjoy teaching and I like to keep it simple, comfortable, sequential and with all relevant information. My teaching is not about text book theories but about practical application.
