The Human Resource Development: Employee Training course is the 11th of 20 courses developed as part of the Human Resources Certification Program.
In this course, the focus will be on human resource development theories and activities.
These will be used to help increase the effectiveness of individual contributors and the organization as a whole. We'll look at how to assess an organization's training needs and how to develop general and specialized employee training and development initiatives and programs.
In addition, information on training facilitation techniques, instructional methods, and program delivery mechanisms is also provided. And to bring it all together, approaches and tools for assessing the effectiveness of training and development initiatives are also addressed.
In topic one, Assessing an Organization's Training Needs, you'll gain a better understanding of how to conduct a needs assessment that will identify and establish priorities for HRD activities.
Review training and development programs already available in the organization so that resources are not wasted. In topic two, Training Program Development Techniques, you'll increase your knowledge of training program development techniques to create general and specialized training initiatives.
Not every location is conducive to teaching. In topic three, Implement and Facilitate Employee Training Programs, the proper ways to implement and facilitate employee training programs will be addressed.
The evaluation phase is not an area that should be treated lightly. In topic four, Techniques to Assess Training Program Effectiveness, you'll increase your knowledge of the techniques used to evaluate the effectiveness of employee training programs.
