In our upcoming training session, we will focus on the Emergency Fire Warden unit from the PUA Public Safety Training Package, which is essential for anyone involved in an Emergency Control Organisation (ECO). This comprehensive program is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate effectively in various emergency situations within a facility.
The training will cover the roles and responsibilities of ECO members, emphasizing the safety of facility occupants and visitors during emergencies. We will delve into the key aspects of pre-emergency planning, effective response during emergencies, and crucial post-emergency activities. This encompasses establishing processes for accessing emergency response procedures, ensuring ECO identification is available throughout the facility, and documenting and reporting any emergency equipment deficiencies.
Participants will learn how to identify and respond to emergency signals and warnings, assess and act in emergency situations, and manage communications systems. The session will also include strategies for assisting occupants who may require help during an emergency and the procedures for safe re-entry into the facility post-emergency.
This training is aligned with the Australian Standards (AS) 3745 and AS4083 and adheres to legislative requirements, organizational policies, and safe practices. It is ideal for floor or area wardens, wardens, or deputy wardens within an ECO. Remember, no specific licensing, legislative, or certification prerequisites are required for this unit. Join us to enhance your competency in facility emergency response and ensure preparedness for any crisis.
