This is the 3rd in a series of 3 courses on Project Management in Healthcare

WHY IS THIS COURSE IMPORTANT?

Project Management is one of the most important processes in the healthcare environment. Well run projects help control costs, manage risk and improve project outcomes. Projects that are not well run create chaos, dissatisfaction and increase costs. At the core of any successful project is a diverse team of very talented individuals who are passionate about planning, executing and monitoring their projects. Studying the various project management tools available and how to use them is key to the success of any project, particularly in healthcare, where patients' health are at stake.

This is the 3rd of a 3 part series on project management in healthcare.

In this 3rd part, you will learn:

WHAT IS YOUR TEACHING STYLE?

My teaching style is a very pragmatic one. I assume you know nothing about this topic and start with the foundation and build from there. Some of these concepts could be challenging, so I sprinkle in as many examples as I can, both non healthcare and healthcare, to assure full understanding of the topic. This is why I have appended "Plain and Simple" to all my courses.

WHY ARE YOU QUALIFIED TO TEACH THIS COURSE?

I spent 35 years in the designing and launching of medical imaging products and services. My career evolved from leading engineering teams, to becoming VP Marketing and then to president of a Healthcare IT firm. It is also based on 15 years of university teaching.
