The "Perfect" Stitch
Historically, the principal difference between good n bad embroidery was defined by the art of creating a perfectly neat, even stitch.
once you have learned to do these stitches properly, you will be able to use them properly, you will be able to use them appropriately and with ease in any piece of work, freestyle or traditional. you can then look at the more advance variations and choose your stitch with full knowledge of their potential within the composition you wish to create.
Before we begin let's gather the basic materials required for embroidery
Medium weight cotton fabric (White or any pastel shade) you can use any regular cotton that is available, make sure it's not blended nor its too thick.
cotton embroidery floss of any brand
a pair of scissor or cutter
Embroidery hoop 6" (wood or plastic)
Heat resistance pen or pencil
Measure tape
Chenille or crewel needle
We will begin this course by learning the basics which is very essential
How to pull thread from floss/ skein
Thread length required
Split thread
Thread the needle
Tie knot
Trace the design
After we have learned these the next step will be how to embroider, before we begin embroidering we need to know the basic stitches.
so will go step by step by learning these stitches and practicing on straight lines till we have not mastered or perfected the stitches.
once we have perfected the stitches, we will implement those stitches on the design/ pattern and make our own DIY hoop.
Lastly will learn how to finish the backside of the hoop.
I would also love to see your work progress and let others view your beautiful work project.
