Description

What infact makes a goods herbal processing procedures that could affect safety production as well as quality you will learn the answers to this questions in Section (1&2) in this course, which has but 10 lectures.

Lecture (1) deals with collection of plants or plant parts. Whether the processing method is based on a tradition as old as the use of medicinal plants or based on a proprietary procedures in either case herbal processing procedures should be subjected to good practice stardards. How? Lecture (2)explains it. The WHO guidelines on good agricultural & collection practices(GACP) for medicinal plants page (1). Lecture (3) explains it further. Lecture (4) discuss es general and specific technical guidelines on (GHPP) for herbal medicines as well as specific good herbal processing techniques. In Lecture (5) you will learn the terms used in this guidelines.

Section (2) Lecture (1) You will learn simple post-harvest processing.

Lecture (2) Will show how some herbal materials require primary processing to utter their therapeutic properties to maintain a good quality, purity and cleanliness should be adopted or ensured lecture (3) takes care of it. Do you know that herbal materials derived from the same species but processed by different method may show significant differences in quality and therapeutic properties? How, lecture (4) will answer that question.

The final lecture deals with a very important lecture namely Documentation. All processing procedures that could affect the quality and safety of herbal materials should be documented, you will learn this in this final lecture.
