Description

In this course you'll learn how to incorporate color work into your blankets through a really simple technique called intarsia.  This is the secret sauce to creating billowy arm knitted blankets without the extra bulk of adding another color on top of an already completed blanket.

Once you understand the technique used, you can use it yourself to create almost any colored pattern or picture onto a blanket.

I walk you through step by step so you understand the technique fully and can do it yourself.

For this blanket I've used 3 kilo's of lightly felted wool roving (6.6 lbs) 2 kgs of white divided up into 2 separate balls and 1 kg of blue.

This project will take roughly between 2 and 4 hours to complete depending on how fast you knit.

You should already know how to arm knit, however if you don't there are plenty of free resources online for you to learn from.  Learning colorwork will free your creativity to soar to new heights and give you the confidence to bring out your best designs into your blankets.

If you don't like what you've knitted up don't worry!  You can always unravel it and start over.  Giant yarn is very forgiving and the more you knit it, the less it actually sheds to feel free to change up your design, knit and re-knit, and design what you love!
