Welcome to my course that will teach you how to become a professional self employed piano teacher. Perhaps you have already set up a music teaching business and are looking to expand and increase pupil numbers – then is course is also for you.
If you want to increase pupil numbers and create a good salary for yourself teaching the piano- you have come to the right place. This course will give you a step by step guide in getting started as a piano teacher, advertising yourself and finding new pupils. If you download this course it should not take a long time at all to reach at least 30 pupils. This course will also teach who to correctly approach your piano teaching to ensure you are giving your clients a top quality service. This course discusses all the likely problems you will face as a self employed piano teacher, and further more how to resolve them.
This course won’t teach how to play any instrument, I will assume you are already proficient in your chosen discipline and are at least grade 8 standard. This course instead focuses on how to set up an independent teaching business, how to advertise and market yourself to get new pupils and advise you on the various teaching approaches to your instrument.
The reason I created this course is because careers advisors are often not familiar with music education and cannot always give good quality advice from an experienced professional. It is a niche job type. All you require to become a successful teacher is firstly a love for music, at least Grade 8 in your chosen instrument and also, further qualifications such as a music degree these days is also a great advantage.
I have separated my course into 5 clear topics.
1. First Steps in Becoming an Instrument Teacher
2. Advertising and Marketing your teaching business
3. Setting appropriate fees and managing your finances
4. Approaches to teaching an instrument
5. How to supplement your income as a music teacher
