Description

Want to make your own surfboard? really? We advise against it – too many things to go wrong, plus we’ve had calls from brassed-off mums asking us how to get resin off the kitchen floor! JUST KIDDING …

Glassing is a skill – few do it well. After 40 years, our glassing is practised and highly accurate. You have to get a balance of glass to resin. you have to keep it clean, you have to work quickly with no air in the laps, no trim lines in the finish. You need techniques honed by years of experience to make strong boards. Our glassers do it all – they tint, they trim, they mix and they squeegee. It depends on the best fibreglass cloth and resin to get perfect results.
