Like you, when I first got ill with long covid back in March 2020, I went back and forth trying to get answers, and treatment, with no results. I felt like I was going back in circles, not actually improving - the symptoms kept coming back, it felt like they were ‘stuck’ in my system, and I was constantly running in overdrive. My quality of life was low!

Then I realised that there is a number of conditions that present with a similar issue - chronic symptoms that don’t show on tests and therefore are difficult to actually treat, and make life difficult and often are debilitating. There might not be answers for long covid out there yet, but there is research for a number of conditions that present similarly, and tools that help people regain their life. There are a number of conditions where the symptoms are ‘stuck’.

That's when I realized that I need to widen my search for answers, in order to get my life back.

I didn't want to wait another year to get better. After all, my time is worth everything to me, and I wanted to get back to living my life. I wanted to get back to being the person that I was before I got sick.

I needed to understand what my persisting symptoms actually were, and if I understood that, I could work to manage them and decrease them.

That way I could stop worrying about what I am going through.

If I could come up with a framework, not only I could get the control of my life back, but so could others.

And so can you. You can take control of your life again, and regain what you have lost when you got sick with long covid.

Understanding what your symptoms are takes away the power they hold over your life.

  • It helps you decrease the fear of your symptoms—you know what is happening and why, and you don’t have to go through all the ‘worst case scenarios’ in your head every time you get a symptom.

  • It eliminates the constant search for answers, treatments, and ways to get better, because you now have the framework that is clear, and the way to improve your quality of life.

  • It enables you to gradually get back to the activities you couldn’t do, because you understand exactly what is causing symptoms flare up and how to manage it.

  • It enables you to be you again, because you can once again do what you love and need.
