You weren’t born anxious, just look at any tiny baby they can sleep anywhere, even in a busy noisy shopping mall. Anxiety is often a coping mechanism that we develop as we grow up, to help us cope with everyday life. Or with a specific event that may have occurred at sometime in our life. In this course I show you the benefits of practising regular relaxation techniques such as meditation and mindfulness, which will over time lessen your anxiety levels.
The reality is that you cannot be relaxed and anxious at the same time. It is physiologically and biologically impossible for someone to be relaxed and anxious at the same time. They are like opposite sides of a coin. So the more relaxed you become the less anxious you will be.
There are also four fundamental elements you need in your life to maintain your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. These four main areas which are the pillars of general wellness are a healthy diet, regular moderate exercise, a good sleep routine and some form of daily relaxation. The relaxation element is what I'm going to mainly focus on in this course, and why it is so important in reducing your anxiety.
