Welcome to the preparatory course for CSWIP 3.1 (Certification scheme for welding inspection personnel)
After completing the course you will be able to pass CSWIP 3.1 exam and becomes a certified welding inspector
The first goal is to provide all information, questions, previous exams, and practical training to pass the exam.
The second goal is to be able to
Review and approve welding procedures (WPS)
Verify welding performance qualification (WPQ)
Welding consumables identity Verification of correctness of welding consumables (electrodes, filler wires, consumable inserts, gases, fluxes etc.).
Pre-weld inspection (Verification that dimensions, fit up and weld preparations are in accordance with the engineering drawings.)
Preheating (Verification that preheat (where required) is in accordance with specified procedures.)
In-process welding surveillance Surveillance during welding to verify compliance with specified procedure including any preheat, inter-pass temperature control and post heat requirements.
Post weld visual inspection Visual inspection and dimensional check of completed weld against specification requirements and drawings
Welding defects (causes and prevention)
Verify safety requirements compliance.
Have a knowledge of welding methods, types of welding defects, welding inspection standard and procedures
