This course is designed to help students upgrade their skills on the Djembe.

How To Play The Djembe: Intermediate Level is the follow-up course to How To Play The Djembe: For Beginners.

How To Play The Djembe: Intermediate Level is a more contemporary approach to playing this amazing hand drum!

This course is divided into three sections. Hand Technique, Grooves and Fills and World Music Rhythms.

By applying hand techniques that drum set and rudimental drummers use, we can really improve our ability on the djembe!

Students will learn how to play some popular music rhythms or grooves on the djembe, like Rock, Funk, as well as, learn how to play fills in those styles!

The third section, is a look at World Music Rhythms and how they can be adapted to the djembe!

Each video lecture will provide students with clear and easy to follow instructions. The learning process is gradual and each lesson builds upon the other. This course also includes an easy to read pdf of the exercises and patterns featured throughout the video in music notation form.

Hand drumming is an easy and fun form of personal expression. Students will gain self confidence, improve concentration and relieve stress by taking this course!
