Description

This class is for anyone looking to step into the world of heels dance. Heels is a fun, sexy and sassy style of dance that builds self confidence and encourages body positivity. No experience is necessary for this class. This class is great for all levels of dance experience. The class can be taken with or without heels. If you are a true beginner, start with a heel that is no higher than 2 1/2 inches that completely supports your foot and ankle. This class moves along quickly but remember that you can always re-watch a section if there is anything you have missed or want to practice again.

We will begin with a technical warmup (which includes technique from Ballet, Modern and Jazz) and then jump right into choreography. Choreography will be broken down into 8 count sections. This will allow students to focus on small set of choreography at a time without getting overwhelmed.  After each set of choreography, we'll run through the routine with music; adding additional choreography as the course moves along. There will be two performance style run throughs at the end featuring a front view (mirrored) and a back view (not mirrored) so that students can easily follow along.
