this course contain tow parts:
part one : Pyro fundamentals in Houdini .
lesson 1 we will explain the volumes in Houdini and its types and how does it works in Houdini .
lesson 2 we will build a smoke source from scratch then compare it will pyro source node
lesson 3 we will explain the Gas Resize Dynamic Fluids on pyro dop network
lesson 4 we will dig deeper in the pyro dop network and explain how the system works
lesson 5 we will explain how smoke object works inside dop network
lesson 6 we will dig deep under the hood and explain how the simulation panel works and explain its parameters
lesson 7 we will dig deep under the hood and explain how the shape panel works and explain its parameters
lesson 8 we will explain how the ignition panel works and digging under the hood in Houdini
part two : explosions in Houdini .
lessons 9 - 10 - 11 - 12 we will build from scratch explosion effect in Houdini using pyro solver
in lessons 13 -14 -15 we will learn how to make dust explosion with pyro in Houdini
lesson 16 we will learn how to add color to smoke and also emit color from an image to the smoke in pyro simulation
Houdini is a 3D animation software application developed by SideFX. SideFX adapted Houdini from the PRISMS suite of procedural generation software tools. Its exclusive attention to procedural generation distinguishes it from other 3D computer graphics software.
Houdini is particularly suitable for visual effects artists with a technical background. It provides all the tools in 3D software but is better known for the VFX tools.
Beginners using Houdini should have a learning curve of procedural design across the software’s features. The key to success with Houdini is his extensive knowledge of mathematics and algorithms. Therefore, technical Artists with a background in programming and mathematics will be able to learn Houdini more easily than others.
Artists who successfully learn this software will find that Houdini allows to create many effects without any traditional artistic interaction. Teams will love working with Houdini as all parts of the project can be easily modified at any point in the development process.
