Description

Microbes are living microorganisms which is ubiquitous in nature. The presence of microbes in pedicure and manicure is linked to the types of products used as well as improperly cleaned equipment at the nail and foot spa.


This may lead to microbial infection in pedicure and manicure. Therefore, it is important to learn the correct products to be used and the aseptic procedure when handling nail and foot equipment at the spa.


In this 7-part series titled "Microbes & Manicure/Pedicure," you will learn the popular types of pedicure and manicure done at the spa. 3rd Segment: Infections in Pedicure & Manicure

In this final segment, you will learn about the aseptic technique in pedicure and manicure in the perspective of laboratory. The aseptic technique is important for preventing microbial infections and unwanted contamination of the surrounding environment.
