INTRODUCTION TO GLASS ART & PAINTING
Welcome to Udemy’s Online mixed medium painting with glass . I have developed this process of painting by accident. A story I would like to share. A friend had given me a Vase as a gift. My kitten Kaali dashed into it and it fell into pieces. I gathered those pieces and said to my husband” I am going to save these and some day I will create something with these pieces.” A few month’s later we had a 150 year old Walnut tree which needed to be chopped. I decided to paint a tree and use the glass as it’s leaves. Later it was included in an Art Show at our Church and the painting sold within the first hour. I felt inspired and encouraged. Since then, I have created several pieces with glass. I recycle glass from bottles, vases, & glasses. often found at yard sales or habitat 4 humanity stores. I break class wrapped in several layers of thick padded bags. Safety goggles are a must. My art is in galleries and have participated in several art competitions and often received an award. I hope to make this course fun and memorable for all.
