Description
The child with ODD can be one of the most challenging students you work with. This course will cover the key aspects and characteristics of ODD, what environmental, genetic and psychological factors affect ODD, how it differs from ADHD and Conduct Disorder, and multiple proven classroom and behavior strategies. You will see several video demonstrations of specific strategies and learn how to prevent power struggles. You will learn about the strengths of students with ODD and possible lifetime outcomes. You will engage in specific exercises to practice some of the strategies and you will receive multiple supplemental materials already made for you.
