In this lesson using the example of landscape we will be exploring the boundaries of multiple mediums, the wide range of techniques and the innovative use of new and unusual materials, creaing rich textures and freeing our hand and head.
Through step by step demonstration I break the process so that can understand it. We'll go over some basic design ideas, and then get right to the Fun part, Painting Abstract Art.
We build on the process gradually, starting with short lessons looking at materials and exploring their performance, properties and variety of applications. We then move to doing a few black and white sketches, and only after we have covered the basics, we start creating the final painting using mixed media techniques.
Anyone wanting to just even try painting Abstract Landscape and learn about simple sketching and mixed media techniques should benefit from this course.
As a result you will create an artwork showcasing your mark making and style, moving away from the detail of figurative.
I have added a very important and useful feature related to the course materials. This is a free feedback from me on your work from this course. Having the feedback will allow you to analyse your work and learn about its strengths and areas to improve. Knowing this, you will be able to grow your awareness when creating other abstract paintings.
Students need to register or use their Instagram account to receive free feedback. Full explanation on how to access this feature is in the Bonus Lecture.
