Pastel Paper
I use White Clairefontaine PastelMat Paper, this is a fantastic pastel paper that can hold many layers. The pad size that I use is 18x24cm.
You can choose to use the same paper as me or any other pastel paper you wish.
Blending Tools
I use Colour Shaper blending tools now in all my pictures. These have a rubber tip and can achieve some incredible effects. They blend and manipulate the pastel almost like a paint brush and are very easy to use.
Throughout the courses I use an Ivory Chisel End Shaper - Size 2.
Level
I would recommend this course for intermediate to advanced level artists. Working with PastelMat paper and pastel sticks means that these subjects are much more difficult than my other courses.
If you are just starting out let me not discourage you from giving these subjects a go, you will certainly learn a lot from the lessons and hopefully enjoy it as you do!
Outline Drawing
I provide you with an outline drawing for each picture so that you do not have to draw free hand. Trace this through to your paper using a transfer method (explained in the course) or if you would like to draw free hand then see my Square Drawing method.
If you love drawing and painting and want to discover techniques to create stunning art then this course is for you.
