Have you ever wished you could paint pet portraits?
Would you love to be able to draw AMAZING Pet portraits you never thought possible?
With this course, you will learn the techniques and skills to be able to do just this.
Pastel Pencils
In my 30+ Years of Experience I have found that Pastel Pencils is the by far the easiest art medium to pick up and learn.
When you have finished this course not only will you walk away with 6 AMAZING pet portraits but you will also be able to apply what you have learnt to draw your own or others pets.
Materials
Each subject requires just a few colours and there are just 18 pencils in total that you need to draw all 6. You do not have to use the exact same brand as me either :-)
The colours are as follows:
Faber-Castell PITT Pastel Pencils
101 white
103 ivory
182 brown ochre
187 burnt ochre
273 warm grey
168 earth green yellowish
175 dark sepia
184 dark naples ochre
176 van dyck brown
199 black
186 terracotta
131 coral
191 pompeian red
143 cobalt blue
173 olive green
183 light yellow ochre
283 burnt siena
177 walnut brown
Pastel Paper
The paper I use is a fabriano ingres pastel paper in sand colour (160gsm thickness). This is a great paper for starting out as you can erase mistakes easily! If you do not have this paper then you can use another paper that you prefer.
Outline Drawing
I provide you with an outline drawing for each portrait so that you do not have to draw the subject free hand. Trace this through to your paper using preferably a graphite transfer sheet like tracedown or print it straight out using your home printer.
Step by Step Instructions
I walk you through step by step with video instruction how to draw each stage. You'll learn techniques behind drawing beautiful pet portraits and create pictures you can be proud of.
Written Instructions
4 of the 6 subjects are part of our "Starter Pack" range which means they have video tuition and written instructions. These are found inside part 1 of each subject.
The Longhaired Cat and Jack Russell pictures use slightly more pencils and are deemed a bit more technical compared to the other 4. These 2 subjects have outline drawings and video tuition.
It is our intention that by completing the other 4 pictures you will have been armed with the techniques you require to move onto these two slightly more technical subjects.
