Description

Steve Fredlund is an experienced poker player and podcaster who as also worked for a number of poker industry organizations. In this course, Steve walks through all 71 rules and 14 recommended procedures from the 2019 Tournament Directors Association (TD) rulebook, the most current edition at the time this course was created. The structure, flow and presentation of the course is designed to accelerate the learning and increase consistency of tournament directors, dealers and other poker room staff. Steve also integrates examples provided from the TDA as well as additional commentary to help clarify and apply the rules. In addition to poker room staff, many poker players will find this training valuable to help understand rulings from tournament directors as well as provide support for themselves in difficult live situations.

The Poker TDA is an open-source, non-aligned, voluntary organization. TDA rules have been used by permission of the Poker TDA, Copyright 2022, All rights reserved.

The mission of the Poker TDA is to adopt basic standards, rules and procedures that will positively impact the Poker Industry. In this process, tournament directors, players and the media are periodically invited to discuss, evaluate and vote on proposed rules.

The TDA is comprised of poker room personnel from around the world whose objective is to draft a standardized set of rules for poker tournaments. The TDA meets semi-annually to discuss the addition of new rules and to amend or eliminate current rules. The TDA was founded in 2001 by Matt Savage, David Lamb, Linda Johnson and Jan Fisher.
