Data Sources and Data Transformation: Students will learn how to connect to various data sources, such as databases, Excel files, SharePoint, and online services. They will understand how to import and transform data using Power Query Editor to clean and shape the data for analysis.
Data Modeling: Students will learn about data modeling concepts in Power BI. They will understand how to create relationships between different tables, define measures and calculated columns using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and create hierarchies for organizing data.
Data Visualization: Students will gain skills in creating visually appealing and interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI. They will learn how to use different types of visualizations (such as charts, tables, maps, and slicers) to present data effectively. They will also explore formatting options and best practices for designing engaging visualizations.
Power Query: Students will learn advanced techniques in Power Query for data transformation and manipulation. They will understand how to use functions, conditional statements, and other data shaping techniques to clean and prepare data for analysis.

Advanced Analytics and Custom Visualizations: Depending on the course, students may also learn about advanced analytics features in Power BI, such as forecasting, clustering, and sentiment analysis. They may also explore custom visualizations, where they can import and use third-party visualizations to extend the capabilities of Power BI.
Power BI Service Overview: Students will gain an understanding of Power BI Service, which is the cloud-based platform for sharing, collaborating, and publishing Power BI reports and dashboards. They will learn how to navigate the Power BI Service interface, manage workpaces, and utilize collaboration features.
Sharing and Collaboration: Students will learn how to share Power BI reports and dashboards with colleagues, teams, and stakeholders. They will understand different sharing options, set access permissions, and manage content collaboration within Power BI Service.
Data Refresh and Scheduling: Students will learn how to schedule and manage data refresh in Power BI Service. They will understand how to configure automatic data refresh for reports and datasets, ensuring that the data is up to date and accurate.
Power BI Mobile: Students will explore Power BI Mobile, the mobile app for accessing and interacting with Power BI reports and dashboards on smartphones and tablets. They will learn how to navigate the app, view reports offline, and utilize mobile-specific features for enhanced user experience.
