A Brief Introduction to Practical Spirituality II

These stories are written as a means of inspiration for those who enjoy reading spiritually based literature. In them, I discuss advanced concepts of energy integration, evolution, personal power, and spiritual awareness, all framed within experiences in my life. Through them, I intend to give you different perspectives, a detached outlook, and my personal insights, to help you shift your view of your present reality, and realize that we always have a choice, and that it is this choice that makes the difference between a life of struggle, and a life of empowerment… Truly very liberating!

Chapter 1: Spiritual Strategies to Succeed at Work

I have learned over my many years in my spiritual path quite a few ways of dealing with the challenges that the Universe so often throws upon us, so as to test our level of personal power, and of spiritual awareness. And it is clear to me that we are guided up the ladder of effortlessness and abundance as we succeed at handling these tests.

But, when we don’t succeed, we are kept at our current level of struggle… until we are able to learn, and integrate, the corresponding spiritual lesson (or its vibrational frequency).

Chapter 2: The Art of Surrendering

The Universe talks to us through patterns or combinations of numbers that convey meaning.

I started to investigate on the Internet. At the time, this seemed like an impossible task to understand so many number combinations, so I decided to create spreadsheets on my computer with singular, double, and triple… digits, in order to be able to understand the coding within these numbers.

I am a polyglot, so my brain seems to be geared for this kind of activity, and I must admit that I enjoy learning different languages, like I did when I learned the Totem strategies.

So, as I went further into the spiritual journey, I discovered color therapy and crystals, which I didn’t formally study but have been working with at home. I did however take courses on chiromancy or palmistry, face-reading or physiognomy, graphology, and so on and so forth.

All these different languages give me different perspectives to understand the world from different angles and give me a well-rounded vision of the truth. But one surprising thing about all these fields of learning is that we receive the information that we are ready for, and we understand the information we receive via our current level of understanding.

Chapter 3: The Numerology of a Name

Surrendering is the opposite of resisting and it is at the core of all spiritual work.

Surrendering is something that humans find extremely hard to do, because we are wired at DNA level to fight against change in an effort to survive the emotional upheaval of what is different from what we are accustomed to.

But the Universe understands only change.

Chapter 4: Being Vs Doing

What is it that I learned from the waves of the sea?

Sometimes I sense an upcoming and powerful thrust of energy, and the hardest things seem to happen effortlessly, activities on which I need to focus intensely simply flow.

This is a very exciting time and I achieve a lot in a very short time: e.g. I can write an article in half an hour without even thinking about it. More like it writes itself!

This is an energy tide. When we are on such an energy influx, it feels as if we can just ride on top of it and let it lead us where we are meant to be, to do what we are meant to do, to meet whom we are meant to meet.

And it all happens in perfect synchronicity and effortless joy.

Chapter 5: Acceptance – The Breakthrough

I live with a spiritual perspective and work in alignment with the Universal rhythms. I have learned to walk the line of balance because whenever I allow myself to deviate from this path, things become harder than I am accustomed to.

I realize that I am out of alignment, so I stop and refocus, then I start again.

My daily activities are guided by a strong intuition; I sense full and new moons, subconscious universal energies at play, when movement forward happens and when it is time to hibernate and meditate.

Because I have learned to live by acceptance.

Chapter 6: Breaking the Patterns

We all struggle. It is a matter of fact. And we do so because we resist. We resist accepting some of the people, elements, circumstances, or events that take place in our lives.

We refuse to acknowledge them as part of our creation, the lessons we ourselves chose in order to move on in the evolutionary path. Others call this our path to Ascension. Some call it enlightenment. Others, personal growth.

Whichever the case, we will struggle until we learn to fully take responsibility for everything in our personal space.

However, I have found that this, like everything else, can be learned if we put our mind and will into letting go of our old way of doing things, and accepting the Universe’s way.

I call this Breaking Patterns.

Chapter 7: The Advancing Personality

This article is the result of the inspiration that I received after reading the book “The Science of Getting Rich”, by Wallace D. Wattles. It is a very personal, constructive critique of the book, which I feel has layers of wisdom below the clarity of its writing and the simplicity of its presentation.

Once in a while, we come across a person, a book, a thought, a city, a home, a view, or a portrait… which reaches far deep inside us and resonates with our soul, provoking a change in our mindset or in our perspective of life and inspiring us to take action.

The result can be a permanent change in our life, one that can’t and won’t be undone; one that pushes us to become more than we were before. And we are propelled to a new level of growth, cycle, or life stage, which we may refer to as a turning point.

Chapter 8: Spiritual Energy Renewal (Transmuting Our Shadow Self)

Between the real world and our manufactured illusionary reality, there is a line, which I call the Line of Shadow or Illusion: in the outside, we see the reality that we can see, that we allow ourselves to see, that we permit ourselves to see so that we can keep emotionally afloat in what seems a chaotic world.

But on the inside, in the unconscious, there is a vast energy reservoir that we can tap into, so that we can slow down our aging by integrating parts of this energy supply as we work in our Shadow Self.

This understanding shifted my mind into feeling more empowered: I realized that all the work that I had done was making me rich in highly refined – low-cost spiritual energy.

The book “Spiritual Alchemy”, by Dr. Christine Page, helped me enormously to bring together these different layers of reality via what she calls “the 5 Drivers of Manifestation”. These are the main energy sources that we use in life to create our realities.

Chapter 9: The Power of Yin

Taoism is a Chinese philosophy that advocates the way and order of the Universe.

Its main premise is the concept that the Yin or feminine, which is soft and yielding, overcomes the Yang or masculine, which is hard or strong.

Therefore, it is the stillness and receptivity of our feminine natural intuition that guides us in knowing when to act... or not.

And so, contrary to what the Western mentality believes about having to push hard, having to struggle in order to overcome all obstacles, the Tao says that only through the fluidity of water, can we overcome life’s difficulties without succumbing to the pressure.

In other words, human arrogance can never overcome the natural cycles and rhythms of the Universe, which are unavoidable, inescapable, inevitable, and unstoppable.

Chapter 10: Clearing our Memory Banks

Have you ever had the experience of being propelled to a specific time in your past by an external event, and suddenly seeing a mental snapshot of a time or place, bringing back forgotten feelings or emotions… as real as if you were still there?

And have you noticed that, regardless of the time that has passed between that event and today, between the person you were then and the person you are today, that memory still has a strong hold on you?

If the memory is good, then the feelings being brought up by it may give you a sense of well-being, happiness, peace, comfort, or even fondness. But if the memory is a distressing one, then you may start feeling physical symptoms, such as butterflies in your stomach, or your heart pounding, together with upsetting feelings.

Do you ever wonder why this happens, and how it works?

Chapter 11: The Challenge of Survival

An Archetype is a psychological or energetic pattern that we use, as a template for our behavior, of which we may or may not be conscious.

In Caroline Myss (Ph.D.)’s words from her book “Sacred Contracts”: “Archetypes are our energy guides to our highest potential”

The Prostitute Archetype in particular is the subject of this story, and it is prevalent in all of us, maybe even universally.

According to Caroline Myss: “The Prostitute is the Guardian of Faith: the act of prostitution is generally associated with selling one’s body for money […] It comes into play most clearly when our survival is threatened”.

When I came to this definition and concept of this archetype and what it meant, I straight away saw it working actively in my life. Liberating ourselves from the burden of having, and accepting the joy of being, is the secret.

Because we learn to simplify our lives to what we intuitively know resonates with us at the energetic level, and intuitively we know that we are Karmically balanced.

So, the decision that each one of us must take is: What is the price I am willing to pay?

I say, none.

Chapter 12: The Power of Hurt

All of us have been hurt at some point or another in our lives. It seems that dealing with our hurt is the way we grow. The issue here is when we get paralyzed by the feeling that others hurt us… or even by the feeling of guilt in the case that we have hurt another.

Blaming ourselves, blaming another… none of these imbalanced emotions are going to offer us the solace, balance, and inner peace that we are searching for.

And although most of us fall into the trap of holding onto these feelings, it is obvious that it doesn’t work: the great majority of people live with a certain amount of emotional pain.

Some can cope… some are overwhelmed, and petrified by it.

we always have a choice: to stay stuck in the hurt, or to move on with our lives.

If we choose to be a victim, to take on another person’s judgment of us, then we will need to manipulate others to pity us. This way, we can never be seen as someone challenging, a competitor: we know that we will be dismissed, but it is a price that we are ready to pay.

The flip side of this coin is that we will never receive the respect that we deserve.

I won’t take responsibility for other people’s unhealed traumas, in the same way, that I will not transfer my own responsibility to other people for my unhealed Shadow. And with this, others will have to learn to heal their own inner child, just as I did.

Chapter 13: The Adrenaline Trap

I have long known that people will do anything to feel alive. Unfortunately, on many occasions, this translates into drama.

Our life force is our energy, which is our life.

We want to feel because we want to be more of our natural estate, alive. This is the gift.

It is a pure spiritual energy that makes us what we are. And although we can’t see it – we only see its physical manifestations – subconsciously, we know that we need energy to stay alive.

There are several ways to gain access to this energy.

The one that requires more work is the development of our spiritual energy, because it demands that we heal ourselves at every level, hence shifting our vibration from a heavy, burdensome, toxic, and unconscious Shadow energy to clean, clear, freely flowing, light energy.

In other words, the hardest path becomes eventually the easiest path… and vice-versa.

Chapter 14: Karmic Healing

I hadn’t felt quite right for a long time. Apparently, he had to remove a large entity that was connected to me. Long story short, my healer said that I produced a lot of spiritual energy and that this entity had been having a whale of a time on my behalf!

Since that day, I no longer experienced headaches on the back of my neck, on the sides of my forehead, or scrubbed my skin again. And I started to live my life in an empowered way.

The healer told me that I would mourn the fact that I had given permission to this entity at the spiritual level to teach me this lesson of empowerment, thus clearing my karma.

I was upset because I couldn’t quite grasp why humans have to go to such great lengths for us to learn about our personal power. Why do we put ourselves in the most difficult and dark situations so that we can learn to finally embrace the light?

Because it is a contract, an agreement arranged before we are born for us to learn the lesson of responsibility: we can’t carry anyone, and nobody can carry us.

My story is a story with a happy ending. I have never experienced, or heard about, anything remotely like it since. And I hope I never will.

And whether we think that this is an extract from the film Men in Black or not, it doesn’t matter.

It was real for me.

Chapter 15: The Phantom Matrix

Currently, humanity is at the 3–3’5 level, which translates to the average survival-focused, fear-based human's accrual.

It shocks me to realize how many people there are out there who are not interested in working toward their Spiritual Evolution, or in taking their own power. Many are today finding alternative ways of healing themselves, not only from physical illness, but from Karma, ancestor-related inherited baggage, unresolved emotional blocks, and so on.

I know what it is like not to see the way, because for many years I was there, in the darkness, and simply couldn’t see the path.

Not until I got divorced, was I was thrown into total despair and depression: it was my wake-up call, my second birth… telling me that I needed to start the real work.

But we all get the call in different ways.

And as we clearly realize that the earth is struggling, and so are humans, each one of us needs to wake up and head this call, do our real work.

Otherwise, Earth won’t be able to make the shift. We all have to shift and ascend as one!
