The Primer for the AWS Cloud: Networking is an effective prerequisite to any course on cloud administration and it can stand on its own as a useful review of relevant networking topics.

Skills covered include:

port number types and uses
decoding IPv4, IPv6 and MAC addresses
representing IP addresses in the various formats
grouping IP addresses into CIDR blocks
partitioning networks
proper deployment of networking services such as DNS, DHCP, NAT.
