In this Qigong course, you will learn the 18 exercises from the Shibashi series.
The word Shibashi means 18 in Mandarin. The series of exercises was created in the late 1970s and early 1980s by Masters He Weiqi and Lin Hou Sheng. The series combines elements of Tai Chi and Qigong and provides an accessible way to enjoy a moving meditation in a relatively easy way.
With the regular practice of the Qigong exercises from the Shibashi series, learn to cultivate your internal life force energy by combining movement and breathing to create a unique experience of moving meditation in order to achieve physical, mental and emotional balance in all aspects of your life.
Each of the exercises in the series has a breathing pattern that is synchronized with the body movements. When we follow this pattern and focus on our breathing, as well as the sensations in the body, we create a deeper mind-body connection, bringing the 2 to an ideal state of relaxation to release stress and tension, and promoting balance and stability on a physical, mental and emotional level.
What makes this course so special?
· The course explains in a simple way the theory behind the Qigong exercises, first explaining the concept of Qi, the types of Qi that exist and the energy centers in the body where Qi is stored.
· Once the concept of Qi has been understood, the course explains in a simple way the meaning of the word "Qigong" and what are the physical, mental and emotional benefits of practicing them.
· Once the theory has been explained, each of the exercises in the series is explained and shown in a clear and structured way. Each exercise contains:

o Acupoints to focus the mind during exercise (an acupoint or acupuncture point is a specific place on the body where a needle can be inserted to control pain and other symptoms. There are 361 acupuncture points in the body. The Shibashi series focuses on 15 of them, 7 pairs on the left and right side of the body and 1 on the crown of the head).
o Explanation of movements and how to synchronize them with breathing.
o An animated GIF showing the exercise, as well as a video demonstrating the exercise.
