LTE (Long-Term Evolution) is a fourth-generation (4G) wireless standard that provides increased network capacity and speed for cellphones and other cellular devices compared with third-generation (3G) technology.
QUALCOMM eXtensible Diagnostic Monitor (QXDM) is a debug tool designed by Qualcomm, which allows you to trace and debug the data through mobile trunks.
QXDM Tool is most widely used tool in wireless 4G,5G technology to capture Qualcomm based Mobile signalling and data details logs for debugging purpose. Whether it is Field testing or Lab testing, initial product development or carrier acceptance QXDM is most accepted tool.
In this post, we tried to put some of very import Logs packets information to help Wireless Test Engineers, how they can make best use of QXDM to debug any issue.
You will be able to understand the basics of Qxdm with 4G LTE call flow. QXDM describes the Air interface message between any UE supporting Qualcomm chipset and Network. NAS messages are delivered directly between UE and MME while RAN messages are delivered between UE and ENodeB. This course describes the LTE registration process along with each ota packet. You will be able to filter out the ENb , UE core network logs.
