Understand the development process from acquisition to exit and master the real estate financial modelling skills.

This course focuses on teaching the technical modelling skills as well as the specific knowhow needed to succeed in the industry. We will spend a lot of time explaining all key terms, explaining how all steps of development work and why firms decide to do things a certain way.

The goal is to teach you the thought process, rather than to give a static set of assumptions, so that you're able to modify the model as needed for your own project.

We will apply the same teaching method in the modelling part of the course as we literally build the model along side you, starting from a blank worksheet and explaining everything in detail, one formula at a time.

Again, the focus is on teaching YOU how to think about the model, so that by the end of the course you will be able to model various parts in multiple ways (using different formulas) and you will understand the inner workings of the model. This will boost your confidence going into the interview and allow you to later-on amend the model as you see fit.


Course Modules

This course contains over 14 hours of video content and will be split into three modules, with each module focused on a different area.

Upon completion of the course, you will have the knowledge, skills and confidence to analyze any commercial real estate deal worldwide. Now tell me what employer wouldn't like that.


Module #1 - LEARN

In this module you will have access to almost 5 hours of video content to learn the ins and outs of development, understand all key terms and get an insight into what assumptions to use.

This section is what really differentiates this course. I believe that to build a working model and be able to use it, one has to understand the underlying process deeply. That's our goal here. Additionally, I included several add-on lectures at the end of the course on corporate structure set-up and taxes to help you stand out during the interview.

Module #2 - BUILD

In this module you will have access to almost 7 hours of content focused strictly on building a fully dynamic financial model from scratch.

Each lecture concentrates on a specific section of the model. I explain all formulas, links, and reasons for doing things a certain way. Moreover, I teach you the best practices of how to use Excel like a pro including short cuts and tips and tricks I have learned over my career.

Module #3 - APPLY

In this module you will have access to 3 case studies from various markets across Europe.

These will be very similar to what you can expect on interview day or working in the industry day to day.

I will go through each case study with you, describing my thought process, providing benchmarks for key assumptions and most importantly teaching you how to find relevant data online to have correct assumptions every time for any market.
