Course Objective

In this course, we will start from using a brush to outline the flowers and branches, and then move on to coloring these beautiful blossoms. We will also discuss relevant Chinese cultural aspects during our classes.

In this course we will paint the magnolia flower, and in the process, we shall refine our coloring skills and learn to outline and color the branches and add the background in one way. This course will not require you to make the illustrations of the outline, instead for our beginner course, the outline will be already made and ready to download. Did you know that the magnolia flowers can be called "mu lan" in Chinese? Just like the brave girl who fought on behalf of her father in the well-known movie. Did you also notice the existence of these blossoms as a thread throughout the movie too?
