Description

In this short course, you will discover the basics of coding by creating your own friendly Gorilla robot. Offer it some bananas for a snack and watch it go!

We're all about hands-on learning by having fun. You will start by learning about the relationship between humans and gorillas, then proceed to building and programming this charming robot. By the end of this course, you will have a completely functional robot that you created with your own hands!

Don't worry if you are a complete beginner in the world of robotics. Instructions shown and explained in the videos will guide you every step of the way.

To complete this course, you need LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 (#45300) robotics kit. For programming, you will use Scratch 3.0 programming environment with WeDo 2.0 extension (and Scratch Link app, if you're a PC/laptop user).

This short course won’t make you a software engineer in a day, but it certainly will provide kids with fun, engaging and worthwhile activities that will show them the basics of programming in practice. This course can also give parents and K-12 teachers the practical knowledge they need to help children learn how to code. Finally, this course is great for anyone who want to see the coding possibilities of Scratch 3.0 when used with LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0.

By the end of this course, you’ll have a basic understanding of Scratch 3.0 and how it's used to program electronic elements of WeDo 2.0.
