You probably learned at some point from your work, boss or school that there's one way to tackle the sales world. You need to be a go-getter, constantly chatting it up, beating the streets, type-A outgoing personality. I did it for a while. And it wasn't for me.
But I knew there was another way, a more authentic way true to my personality: introverted, private, maybe a touch shy. I knew I could still connect with my clients and find success in the sales world. So, while I manage my personally successful 15-year career, I also created Sales for Introverts for people like me. The sales (and business) world in general was PAINFUL for a long time. I pretended, I acted, I tried to be an extrovert. It wasn't until I realized I WASN'T any of those things that I started to gain my own comfort and confidence. And then I finally enjoyed going to work and found internal and external success.
