As a Guitar player have you ever asked yourself how do they play those nice bits between the chords on the acoustic guitar or electric guitar?
Wonder No More
Single Note Guitar Runs To Major Chords and Beyond - makes Solo Guitarists and Singer/Songwriters, like you, sound more interesting and enable you to stand out from the crowd. You will do this by adding simple but effective bass runs to the guitar chords that you already know. You will instantly sound more professional and musical, unlike other guitar players who just play straight chords all the way through every song.
Be Remembered
You will use them to create dynamic introductions, interludes and endings to your performances. No longer be the same as all those other guitar players who just shakily start songs after strumming a few chords or who randomly stop suddenly leaving the listener wondering should they clap or not!
Instead, use your runs in a musical manner to let the audience know that you are about to begin. As soon as you start one of these guitar bass runs the audience are primed to expect the beginning of the song.
If you use it at the end of the song you can start to slow the run down thereby informing the audience that the song is drawing to a close.
Then, they will definitely clap!
Used throughout a song these guitar bass runs can further engage the listener by adding depth, colour and shade to your guitar playing.
With these runs you will stand out from the other guitar players and, be remembered.
To Go Fast, Go Slow
There are many paradoxes in life.
Some statements are true. Some are Untrue. Some are both!
This sentence has seven words. Clearly, untrue.
So the opposite must be true. Or is it? Hmm…
This sentence does not have seven words.
That brings me to the statement “To Go Fast, Go Slow.”
This is a comprehensive course over 6 hours long.
The good news is that you do not have to finish the course to start using what you learn straight away. In fact, the best way to use this course is to go slowly.
How It Works?
You can start straight away by going to your favourite key and learning one run. This will consist of a total of four notes played across two strings next to each other, depending on your chosen chord.
It is as simple and as quick as that. You can stop there and start using that run in your playing immediately.
One run alone can have multiple uses depending on the key of the song. For instance, the run from E to A can be used in songs in both keys OR as an introduction to a song in A. All that with just 4 notes!
When you are ready, add the next chord. This will use the same 4 note pattern (or similar) just played in a different position from the previous one.
Now you have two runs. And lots more possibilities at your fingertips already.
I Don’t Have Time?
Everyone has time to learn 4 notes. Surely it is worth the effort to be the guitar player that people remember?
I Am A Beginner
My goal is to demystify this stuff, because at its core it's not really that complicated.
As soon as you learn to play a few chords you can learn to add in these subtle notes. The videos break everything down into bite sized pieces and leads you through each key and chord note by note. You will learn by repeating each run slowly. These are not going to interfere with your playing; they are going to improve your playing.
And, without you having to read music.
Learn By Doing
You play along WITH each video. This is not a guitar course where you watch me demonstrate each technique and then you try to figure out what I just did and decipher it. You play guitar ALONG WITH ME. I break each run down into tiny pieces and we play them together as we learn the whole run. So you are going to have to play – but not too hard. It’s only a four note guitar run after all! And, I try to make sure that we have fun while doing so.
However, the more that you use the runs the easier it will be to play it in a variety of tempos and musical styles. It is learning by doing but still can be implemented immediately.
I Cannot Read Music
You do not have to be able to read music to learn how to add bass runs to your guitar playing. The videos are very clear and shot from two points of view. Everything is broken down clearly. And slowly.
All examples taught are also notated in TAB. There are pdf files for you to download and keep.
Final Words
Imagine yourself the next time you play a song with your guitar. As you smile to yourself, your fingers play a simple but definite four note introduction. People start to pay attention straight away. They feel something familiar is about to happen. Then you start your song.
You come to the first chord change where you join the chords in a melodic and musical manner, giving the impression that there is a bass player in the room with you.
Your listeners start to be captivated by the experience as you lead them on a musical journey through the story of the song.
Then, before they know it you are ending and they all break into simultaneous applause.
You acknowledge the applause and smile to yourself. You are the only one in the room who knows that you only learned the bass runs shortly before that performance. It really is as simple as that. So what are you waiting for? Go on. Get this course now. And be remembered as the great guitar player that you are meant to be.
