What You Will Learn!

  • Tekla structure Steel Structure Modeling

Description

Tekla structures is a building information modeling software able to model structures that incorporate different kinds of building materials, including steel, concrete, timber, and glass.

Tekla structures the most advanced structural BIM software, lets you create, combine, manage and share multi-material 3D models packed with valuable construction information.

With Tekla structures you can create accurate information-rich 3D models that have all the structural data you need to build and maintain any type of structure.

You can also import, export and link your data with other software solutions, digital construction tools and fabrication machinery for smoother workflow.

In this course we will do a practice by modeling a steel structure on Tekla the modeling will include all the steel structural elements (beams, columns, rails, purlins, frame, bracing, truss, concrete slab,  foundations and connections)

Also we will show in this course how we can export the drawings from Tekla structures software to other software

The project that will worked on is a steel hangar structure with length 75m and width 25m

In this course we will show the different standard steel sections I Section (HP, M, S, W); C-Shape; Angle Sections; and Pipes sections we will show how we can model and using these different structural steel sections how you define them and design

The dimensions and properties for structural sections commonly used in steel building structure design and construction are given in this course in addition to all design consideration and  proper material availability and specification according the AISC code.
