The Asalato (also known as CasCas, KoshKash, Patica, Televi, Aslatua, Banakula, Kashaka and more) is an incredible instrument from West Africa whose popularity is growing and growing around the globe. The Asalato’s simple and innocent looks can be deceiving, as it is actually one of the more difficult percussion instruments in the world.

In this course I include clear, detailed explanations for every technique, along with slow motion videos whenever needed. My goal is to make these techniques, rhythms and patterns as accessible as possible, as well as to encourage you to develop your own creativity and rhythmic flow.
