Description

If you click on my course, Then, maybe you have been experienced the feeling of frustration, due to the bad behaviors of your students, or maybe your students don't pay attention to your lesson, or you notice that your students get bored during the lesson, etc...

Even if you take days to prepare and plan your lesson, with plenty of activities and exercises, you conclude at the end of the class that your student's feedback is too much low than your expectations.

Maybe you have difficulties understanding how your students react and respond to your teaching, how to choose the right activities ? How to teach the students the way they want, while you have a lessons program to finish in a certain period of time ?

Maybe you are a new teacher who looks to learn more about new teaching methods, classroom management, lesson planning.

If you are a teacher, instructor, coach, or parent who has students, or young children, this course will certainly help you.

I'm a teacher, and I suffered from that feeling of frustration, which makes me look for new ways and methods to improve my teaching skills, I was focusing on learning about lesson planning, class management, and learning methods like (differentiation, flipped classroom, etc...), until I found a book called "Why don't student like school" of Daniel Willingham.

This book gives me another perspective which is " the cognitive approach" based on the "cognitive science".

Cognitive science studies the mind's processes (how it remembers information, how it thinks, etc...), So, understanding our students' minds can be an effective way to find new strategies and methods to teach.

The advantage of the cognitive approach is that it will give you the capacity to understand your student's behaviors during the lesson, you will know why a student pays attention to a lesson and gets bored in another lesson, how can you discover and use the strong point of your student and help him to improve himself.

Also, you will be able to choose the right activities for each class or group of students, and you will make your own lesson planning.

I tried to be effective and give you the most important things in cognitive science that will help you think about the relevant methods to teach.

The course structure :

- I divide the course into many sections, every section talks about some mind's properties.

- at the end of every section I give you some tips to help in your classroom.
