Description

Welcome to the ultimate golf physical therapy course. Here you will learn how to optimize your own golf game, by performing physical therapy exercises. It also focuses on injury prevention, by nipping physical limitations in the bud. This course is aimed at golfers of all levels. Both high and low handicap players will benefit from this course. The physical condition of the golfer is also not a factor, as the course is formatted to be accessible to players of virtually any physical condition. However, players with a good basic condition will evolve faster and thus be able to go through the first steps of the course more quickly. Players with a slightly less good basic condition will take longer. In this way, the course is accessible to everyone. The course is ideal for the golfer who takes his game seriously.

In the first part of the course, some common swing errors are discussed, which can be caused by physical limitations. These limitations are explained and a number of physical therapy exercises are taught to tackle these problems yourself. These are not online lessons by a golf pro, but these exercises might create more opportunities for your golf pro to improve your game. In this way you will not only improve your golf game, but these exercises also work preventively so that the risk of injuries is reduced.

In the second part of the course a warming up routine is taught, so you can start the game warmed up. In this part of the course an overall stretching routine will also be taught, which you can do to increase your overall muscle flexibility.

The third part of the course teaches a 10-step plan to improve your golf game and reduce your injury risk. This 10-step plan is a standardized way to gradually bring your physical condition up to par and therefore get your body in optimal shape. This protocol is progressive, starting with basic stability exercises, combined with mobility exercises. This takes into account the joints and muscles that are important in the game of golf. Over the course of the protocol, the stability exercises become more difficult and strength exercises and explosiveness exercises will also be integrated. Motor patterns will also be taught, which will mirror the golf swing. In this way, your brain and nervous system will also be taught to perform the golf-specific movements as efficiently as possible. The protocol is formatted so that you may only move to the next step if you do not experience muscle stiffness, joint pain, or any other form of pain discomfort during the exercises. You may, in other words, only progress to the next step if the previous step has become too easy for you. In this way, you are less likely to overload yourself during the exercises. If you find that the step is too easy for you, you can immediately evolve to the next step.
